Mrs. Evelyn Primas Toler was born in Prince William County in 1899. Her parents were Thomas and Maria Barbour Primas. They lived in the Broad Run area. Miss Primas attended Hampton Institute and Virginia State College. Lillian Smith (b.1917) was one of her students. Whether Miss Primas boarded in Morgantown or commuted daily to the school is currently not known. She taught for at least one term in Morgantown 1927-28. She married Henry W. Toler in 1942.
